Chief Strategy Officer
Thomas Kerney is the Chief Strategy Officer of International Assets Advisory. He is responsible for the strategic direction of the firm through various Corporate Development initiatives.
Before his position at IAA, he was the President, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer of Hanover Securities, an investment bank focused on Small Business Administration (SBA) loans. Mr. Kerney managed compliance, regulatory relationships, due diligence, partnerships, deal flow, and supervision. During his tenure, he also oversaw the successful post-merger integration with a Securities Exchange Commission RIA after being acquired.
Previously he was a Partner at a Management Consulting firm that worked with Financial Services companies on Corporate Strategy, Mergers & Acquisitions, Exit Planning and Regulatory Compliance. His experience includes Investment Banking, Asset Management, and Financial Planning. He began his career as a Financial Advisor dedicated to working with individual investors on reaching their retirement goals.
Mr. Kerney possesses the FINRA Series 4, 7, 24, 27, 53, 55, 65, 66, 79, and Real Estate Sales Associate license in the State of Florida. He has completed the Certified Investment Management Analyst® Program at the Yale School of Management. He also majored in Mathematics while attending Northwestern University.
