Medical Debt: What to Do When You Can’t Pay

Complicated medical very often contain billing errors that, perhaps unfairly, it is the responsibility of the patient receiving the bill to uncover. IAA partner Aaron Leak recently told Investopedia that patients worried they can’t afford a medical bill should ask for an itemized bill and compare it with your insurance paperwork before paying. 

 

Medical billing errors are much more common than consumers realize, so if something doesn’t look right, it may not be right.
